Conflicts in the workplace can occur for a variety of reasons, it can be caused simply by the nature of the work, by changes to work or work patterns, by changes to the workforce and is in many cases not always related to the workplace.
Conflict needs to be addressed before it can develop into something more substantial and have the grounds for a potential personal grievance that may require more formal mediation outside of the in-house solutions that can be used to address issues at an earlier stage.
Having good policies and procedures for reporting issues or dealing with complaints, in an environment that encourages and supports employees to have the confidence to bring issues to the attention of supervisors and managers, and visibility that conflicts and complaints are resolved when the employer is made aware of them, in a timely fashion.
Independent to employment arrangements and without bias we can provide mediation for employers through a consultation process between workers where conflict exists and reduce the risk of escalation and the need for the company to consider more formal measures potentially through misconduct procedures.
